On March 17th, 2021 baby Stanley prematurely came into this world at only 23 weeks gestational age. This means he wasn't due for another 5 months and was not fully mature enough to survive the outside world without medical help. Thus, since being born, Stanley has spent over 9 months in the NICU under the care of his wonderful medical staff.
Though Stanley is well taken care of, we would love more than anything for Stanley to be healthy enough to come home where he'll be surrounded by family and friends who love him dearly. He was given many going-home dates, however, as each one approached they were pushed further and further back. Stanley has suffered many medical issues but his chronic lung disease is his biggest complication.
He has most recently undergone a tracheostomy where a hole/incision was made in his windpipe to open up his airway so that he can better breathe. Because his lungs need time and require too much oxygen still, Stanley's most recent going-home date has been pushed out another 6 months; he will remain in the hospital until further notice.
With that being said, Stanley's parents have been too humble to ask for help without giving something in return (i.e. Stanley's Candles). When Stanley comes home, Stanley will require a hospital bed, a ventilator, oxygen tanks, and in general, bigger everyday baby necessities, such as a wagon to fit his medical equipment. They will also use these funds to fix up Stanley's room to meet medical standards.
Mommy and daddy have a goal of providing Stanley a medical supply shelf similar to the one pictured below. They want to be as prepared as possible and want to ensure Stanley is safe at home.
With mom having to leave her job to always be readily available for Stanley, and only dad working a full-time job, any amount of money or donation of any kind is greatly appreciated. Not only will Stanley's parents be eternally grateful, Stanley himself will be forever happy! A recent Shaman revealed Stanley is lonely at the hospital. So, help us bring him to a monetary stress-free, safe home where his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends can bathe him with warmth and love. No one deserves it more!
Pictured below is baby Stanley right after his tracheostomy. He cuddled the plush doll on his own! It's obvious he's a sweet sweet boy with so much love to give and deserves the same in return!!
