Hello, my name is Karin Anderson. Thank you for taking a moment to read my story. My husband, Gary Tyler, was mowing the yard on Sunday, September 7, and collapsed and could not be revived.

We were just getting back on our feet after he started a new job only 6 weeks ago, and now even his Social Security checks have been stopped for several months while they set me up for Survivors Benefits. I will need to downsize to a small apartment, so I am asking for $14,000 to cover rent here and all the deposits to get into a new place that I will be able to afford.

I am just blindsided by the sudden passing of my soulmate and the end of all the plans we had for our lives. We found each other in our 50s and thought we still had a couple of decades to travel and have adventures together.
