Stephanie was diagnosed at birth with the rare metabolic disorder Methylmalonic Acidemia, Mut0. MMA is an autosomal recessive disorder in which the liver is missing an enzyme to break down protein, causing a build up of a substance called methylmalonic acid in the blood. Over time the acid has caused damage to her organs and mitochondrial system. She has recently developed stage 4 kidney disease and experienced a dramatic decline in her vision and hearing.

The doctors at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh have recommended a life-saving liver and kidney transplant for Stephanie. Your donations will enable Stephanie’s family to support her throughout her surgery and during her anticipated four month plus post-surgery hospital stay.
