I just found out that my boy, Bear, has severe hip dysplasia in both of his hips. The right one is worse and will require surgery...maybe the left one too, but we'll worry about that at another time :) Not quite sure when the surgery will happen as he is quite young, 6 months, to have this condition. We have been referred to an orthopedic surgeon in Charleston and are waiting waiting to hear what he thinks. No time like the present to start pinching pennies and saving up. The vet we spoke to today estimated the surgery around $2500, but I have heard that it can be quite more than that. Any help will be greatly appreciated, but please do not donate if it puts a strain on you in anyway. Thanks so much for reading about my little doggie!
