DREAM DEFERRED (COVID-19)

Greetings Friends, Family and Patrons of FINICKEY.
It has been said, “Life Is But A Dream” … Being an optimist and small business owner; I did expect the risk of winter and thought I would be prepared for a storm.
Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic has been exhausting! To date, I have lost more than 3-months of sales due to the continued mandatory shut-down of my small business in Philadelphia PA. Because of this financial shortfall, I am fearful I may not be able to successfully reopen.
So, facing yet another month’s rent due (May 20th) in my first commercial space; one can only imagine the stress I am feeling. I have applied to the following loans: SBA (Small Business Association), PPP (Paycheck Protection Program), EIDL (Emergency Injury Disaster Loan) and the Verizon Small Business Recovery Grant… Only to find out that I was denied.
Recently, I asked a colleague what I could do - He said, “Pray and ask for the help I so desperately need.” As this entrepreneur shared with me that his worst challenge in a small business venture was that of his own false pride. Having processed my dilemma and the advice suggested - I have finally come to my decision.
Today, with mixed feelings of anguish and a most humbled spirit; I am requesting your help via GoFundMe towards my goal of $4,500. This a plea going out to dear friends; family members; long-time clients and clothing enthusiasts.
Every dollar will help - to sustain my family and small business in this season. Please know that this contribution will allow FINICKEY to: pay rent for the next couple months, sustain inventory… while also maintaining our website presence.
I would be so ever grateful… And I hope that through your generosity I may one day be able to pay it forward to another entrepreneur in the future.
With Humility and Gratefulness,
