On Wednesday afternoon, during school practice, David suffered a sudden stroke that changed his life in an instant. In a matter of hours, he was rushed into emergency surgery and then flown to OHSU in Portland, where he now lies unconscious, fighting for his life. Doctors have told his parents the road ahead will be long and uncertain, with many unknowns. As heartbreaking as this is, we know David is strong and he’s a fighter—and he’s holding on with everything he has. His parents and Family are currently in Portland by his side every second, praying for a miracle, while also facing the heavy weight of mounting medical bills and the therapies David will desperately need in the future.
