Hi!! So, never thought I would need to have a GoFundMe page for myself... but let's give it a go.
So, as most of you know, I just had brain surgery on Wednesday for a 1.4cm brain aneurysm. During the surgery, the aneurysm turned out to be more difficult than they originally thought. They had to insert two stents in my brain to drain the aneurysm.
After surgery, we thought everything went well, but just as I was about to be released the next day, I went to stand up to get in the wheelchair and I heard a huge pop. I looked down at my leg where they inserted the catheter, and my leg was swollen with blood. They rushed into the room and started to apply pressure to my leg. Then I had to have a tourniquet wrapped around my leg for four hours, which was extremely painful, so I didn't bleed out.
So, my stay in the hospital has now extended way beyond what I thought it would be. Since this has happened, the doctor wants me to not go back to work for a full three weeks after surgery. This was not something I was expecting or had planned for. Since I will now have to take off work for almost a month, I figured I'd try to see if anyone might be able to help me out in my time of need. I'm not expecting anything, but if you have it to spare for my family and me, I would appreciate it big time.
Thank you to everyone who has been there and helped me through this process. The doctor told me if they hadn't accidentally found this aneurysm, I would have been dead within five years, so trying to look on the bright side of things. Let the healing process begin! Thank you all again!!
