Hello Everyone I am in a bit of a hard spot right now.. I am in need of a major surgery in 4 months of an extremely difficult abdominal wall reconstruction, which I cannot afford. So I am starting this GoFundMe for the Abdominal Reconstruction Surgery for the next few months so all donations will be going directly to my medical bills so I can afford the specialist surgeon that I desperately need.
As many of you already know, Last year I was the victim of a man with road rage and intentionally struck with a vehicle outside of my apartment building as a pedestrian and then brutally attacked by the driver and almost died from internal injuries. I spent over a quarter of the year in the hospital fighting for my life, recovering and relearning how to do basic things like walking, talking and eating. My Abdomen was split in half and left open with a mesh flap and skin graft covering the volleyball sized gap that it left. The surgeons saved my life but I was temporarily patched together to allow room and time for my organs to heal and now that it's been a year the temporary fix is causing me a lot of pain, complications and other health issues so it is almost time to remove the temporary patch, put me back together like humpty dumpty and rebuild my abdominal wall before this temporary fix becomes more of an issue for me. My team of surgeons were lucky enough to have found 1 local specialist surgeon who is qualified enough to do this very difficult and risky surgery but unfortunately he recently stopped accepting any kind of insurance at all. And all of his physician's fees need to be paid to him upfront before he will do the surgery. I'm on a fixed disability income(I am now disabled from this)and I'm barely making any money with my bakery(just enough to buy groceries a few times a month and pay some bills)and there is no possible way I can afford his fees in the time frame I need to because I am barely scraping by as it is and if I wait a year to have the surgery so I can save money for it, it may be too long and the surgery will not be able to be done because my organs will have settled in their new places too much. Which would leave my quality of life extremely low. I want to get back to a normal life as soon as possible and hopefully get married this year if all goes well! If at all possible I don't want to have to get a less qualified surgeon because the surgery terrifies me as it is and I want the best that I can get and to also be close to home so that I am not alone since my Fiancé will not be able to afford to take time off work to travel far away to be with me while i am in the hospital for a month after the surgery. If you can help in any way, please do so by donating to my go fund me. If you would like some baked goods in exchange for your donations, please visit my bakery page where I am taking orders for donations ♡♡
TIA love to you all!!
