Hugs For Lijah
Donation protected
Aloha Friends & Family,
On July 13th, 2009, the lives of Elijah’s parents were changed forever. They were blessed with the birth of their first child and only son Elijah, or “Lijah” as we lovingly know him. The warmth and pure love Jeremy & Leah felt the minute he entered their lives, assured them he truly is a special soul. Lijah touches the hearts of everyone he meets with his infectious smile, his kolohe laugh, and his constant requests (demands) for hugs and kisses.
Lijah suffered a stroke while in his mommy’s tummy and was born two months premature. Excess fluid around his brain prevented proper brain development and left him prone to seizures. Lijah now attends and is flourishing at Kamiloiki Elementary School, where he receives occupational, vision and speech therapies. Lijah is also fortunate to receive physical therapy sessions from Shriners Hospital for Children. Though Lijah continues to make incredible progress in learning to walk, he still requires usage of a wheelchair to be mobile.
Mommy and Daddy work tirelessly and around the clock to ensure he and his sister, McKenzie, have the best life they can possibly have. Recently, due to Lijah’s growth spurts, his wheelchair broke and he is in need of a replacement. Due to his special qualities that we love so much, he requires a specific type of pediatric wheelchair. Therefore, this holiday season, we are humbly asking for donations so Lijah can continue doing the things he loves and spreading his aloha spirit. We hope to raise the much-needed funds for Lijah and his entire family, to assist in accomplishing simple everyday tasks without the backbreaking endeavor of lifting and carrying him.
We humbly ask for any donations you are able to contribute to help our cause. On behalf of the Hugs for Lijah ‘Ohana, we thank you for your thoughtful consideration and continued loving support of our Lijah Boy.
With love and aloha, Happy Holidays!
