Shaun Beresford is a Police/Fire/Rescue dispatcher and 911 operator with a countywide dispatch center in Warren County, NJ. He has been employeed in public service for the past 10 years in multiple facilities. He also volunteered in both fire and medical volunteer agencies before his health became too great an issue for him to continue. His dedication to helping others in his community has been a driving force in his life. Now we can all join together to help him in his time of need.
Shaun has lived his entire life with Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis is a life-threatening disorder that damages both your lungs and digestive system. There is no cure for Cystic Fibrosis though medical research has greatly improved the lives of those living with the disease and their life expectancy.
Shaun has fought against this disease controlling his life as hard as anyone possibly can. In 2012 he met a wonderful woman whom he married who has stuck by his side through all the ups and downs of his illness, and they were blessed with an adorable son this past February.
Shaun is currently in the hospital where he has been since October. He has been battling pnemonia and other very serious infections that have been exasperated due to his chronic illness. Due to other illnesses earlier in the year he does not have medical leave available to him to compensate for loss wages for work, and his medical benefits from the county have been affected due to his long absences. Both he and his family would benefit from any monetary assistance that is collected to offset the losses he has been incurring.
With the holidays coming quickly, let's join together to try and make them as joyous as possible for Shaun and his family.
