This fundraiser is organized on behalf of Roberto “Rob” Cabrera. He is a selfless, hard-working, family-loving individual with a heart of gold. Also, a dedicated member and Past Master of Boiling Spring #152  F & AM. For years, Rob worked two jobs consecutively. He retired in April from Costco after twenty-six years. In August, his full-time employer of twelve years notified Rob that they were downsizing. After having issues with his spleen and internal bleeding, Rob was diagnosed with Acute B-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in December. A very rare and powerful form of Cancer.

 

His journey is far from over as Rob also needs a Stem Cell Marrow Transplant and is in the process of searching for a Donor. As a result of his physical state, ongoing hospital stays, and weekly visits to the Cancer Center, Rob cannot maintain gainful employment. Yet, he is still responsible to pay for Cobra insurance, copays, and monthly living expenses.
