My name is Marla Lopez; I’m writing this on behalf of my sister, Carla Ramirez. Recently, we received the tragic news that Carla had been diagnosed with cancer in numerous places. I’m reaching out now because we have learned the cancer has spread, and Carla is being sent home from the hospital on hospice to spend time with her immediate family. She has fought this last month and a half bravely at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Carla’s faith carries her, and she continues to stay positive and helps all of us carry through even though it's her battle.

Carla, 43, is a devoted single mother of two, wonderful aunt, Godmother, sister, friend, and precious daughter. She has always put others first, and it is only right that we now put her first. I’m humbly seeking any donations, gifts, and prayers to help ease the forthcoming financial burdens that my sister faces. The medical bills and final planning have proven costly and continue to grow. In an effort to not leave her children with a tremendous burden, I’m humbly opening this “Go Fund me” page to help the family prepare for what is coming.
