But she’s also a pioneer. This stem cell treatment is the first of its kind to be covered by insurance contributions. She’s paving the way for so many others! But the insurance won’t cover the entire treatment. We will be coming out of pocket for more than double what we are asking on her copay alone. And because it’s not cancer, they also won’t cover her travel and lodging for the months she will be in Houston seeking care.
