Help Daisy move to the UK

Hey friends! We are raising money for Daisy to pay the UK visa application fees to permanently relocate to the UK to be with her husband Rio in the Spring of 2026.

Daisy and Rio have been in a long distance relationship for two years and they got married in September. They have been going back and forth to the USA and the UK every three months for visits, but with the political climate in the USA shifting rapidly and danger for trans people at borders at an all time high, it is no longer possible for Rio to come to the USA to visit Daisy, and because of the worsening situation around safety and trans rights in the USA, it is imperative for Daisy to take the steps necessary to attain a spouse visa and get on the path to permanent residency with Rio in the UK.

The UK spouse visa application fees are on the rise due to legislation attempting to limit immigration. With a potential hike in both the visa fees and sponsorship income requirements, we need to raise 4500 pounds to submit our application by the end of the year.

The costs associated with the visa total £4500, £1900 for the application fee and £3100 going to the immigration health surcharge.

Daisy freelances as a scenic carpenter in NYC and while she is saving as much as she can for the move, the theater industry has been slowing down due to economic uncertainties. Combined with the rising cost of living in NYC, we’ve decided to turn to this crowdfunder for help with the costs that are due up front at the time of application.

It has been extremely difficult to live apart, and with the rights of trans people globally in danger it’s not sustainable any longer to be long distance. We are looking forward to finally living in the same place and continuing to create a wonderful relationship together. This has been a long road and we appreciate any help from our community and friends to make it happen.
