Cancer. Fuck.

Well, it ain't great,

but it's also not the worst.

Elizabeth is going to be ok. On the way to being ok, things are going to be everything. And then some, and then everything else. Exhausting and beloved and confusing and painful and hilarious and messy and weird and then more exhausting and scary and wild and grounding and fascinating and bedrock changing and then also all the things we don't know.

One thing we do know is it will be very, very expensive.

Unfortunately, we don't have to explain this to so many of you. We've gone through this ourselves or in our families or with friends. When we are lucky enough to have good health coverage as Elizabeth does, the good part is knowing that the home is safe and the support system is strong. Thank you so much for being a part of that.

We also know that we are in unprecedented egregiously difficult times, and financial support is needed all over. Anything you can do to help is wonderful and anything you can't do is also just as understood and valued. The money, in the administration of illness, takes the form of water. It flows in mighty tides in one direction: out. Anything you can do to help meet ET at the shore is wonderful.
