As many of you know, my situation is not stable yet. I'm still fighting to stay housed and maintain my "legal right of stay" in so called Europe—my (post-displacement) home for the last 10 years.

While I'm in a much better place than when I first arrived to France 3 months ago, my income does not yet match my expenses: rent, groceries, and transport eat up the little I earn plus some. As such, I'm still relying on friends and family for financial support.

While I'm starting to be able to do more, my ability to work is still limited due to my chronic illness. (Aside: ever since moving here, my health has started to improve thanks to healthcare! While progress is promising I'm still unable afford treatment regularly, which makes recovery slower than I'd like, but I digress.)

Now, come September 1st I have to plead the government to sanction another year of my existence. Their fee is 250€. I don't have that money. My credit card is already maxed out. If I miss the deadline I have to pay them another 200€, gangster-style.

If you can, please help me out so I don't miss the deadline and have to materialize yet more money I don't have.

Transparency disclosure: My renewal getting approved is not a given - it's up to the whims of the case worker. I won't worry about that just yet for the sake of stress-management, though.

Any money raised above the 250€ will go to covering basic necessities, going to the doctor, and getting out of debt.
