Jamie Keefer’s Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Jamie aka Coach Keefer has been sick for 7 years. He has battled a disease called Loin Pain Hematuria Syndrome along with Thin Basement Membrane. This rare disease caused Jamie to suffer until about 3 years ago where they diagnosed him and were able to offer help. He received an auto transplant for his right kidney that worked for about 8 months and then the problems returned. January of this year Jamie and his family found a clinic in WI that dealt with LPHS and knew exactly how to help Jamie feel better and live a better/pain free life. Jamie had surgery in January that fixed his right kidney but soon after that surgery the disease moved to his left kidney and Jamie felt defeated. He is now scheduled for an auto kidney transplant in September that will provide Jamie a better quality of life but it all comes with a cost. His insurance company has fought the whole time about what they will and will not pay. They have finally approved the surgery out of network but the hospital will need all of the money that the insurance will not pay before they will do surgery. Jamie and his wife Natalie will also need to stay in WI for about 4 weeks and that will also add costs to their family. Jamie has been out of work since January and the medical costs are financially taking a toll. We are asking for everyone to pray for Jamie and share his story. If you are able to help financially to make this time easier on his family it would be a huge blessing. Thank you!
