Save The Wildlife US Catastrophic Fires HELP

Thank you for clicking on my video link this is our Call for Help.

SOS.......MAYDAY.....SOS.....MAYDAY.....SOS

This is a Plea for HELP  , it’s been over 30 years since I have put out a Mayday Call but I did it before and I know "We" can do it again!

Back in 1989  I witnessed the horror of the "Exxon Valdez" in Prince William Sound on TV,  within 3 weeks I was there with a team of "Florida' wildlife rehabbers.   We cant' do that now, I'm not that young any more & there is no centralized place for us to make a "Base" or even stay.  But I can no longer watch the decimation of our Pacific  coast states wildlife and not take any action over what is happening .

There are many organizations ready willing and able to step up helping the people and pets affected.  What we are not seeing here, yet, are the pictures of our "Wild Life" trapped in the middle of an inferno.  Those we are not seeing yet  have special people that "Help" called "Wildlife Rehabilitators" and they NEED HELP NOW.   I won't be surprised to learn that our West Coast wildlife decimation will be equal to what Australia experienced last year.

For over 35 years "Save The Wildlife, Inc, " (STW) has worked with Wildlife Rehabilitation, Environmental Education & Research.  Last year  as I prepared my approach into retirement I made a decision to turn the focus of my non profit to what I felt was the most threatening thing on this planet to all life: "Vector Borne Diseases", aka "Zoonosis".  I thought my work was done but now I see my non profit can be put to use right here, now and give "Grants" to Licensed Wildlife Rehabilitators via our nonprofit STW.  All they will need to secure a beginning Grant will be their licenses from the Federal & State Government so we can get them funds ASAP via PayPal.  We will need to co ordinate a lot and I will need people to help.

My "Vision"  for the immediate future also is to see Wildlife Rehab Centers or other Wildlife Centers in the East and Mid West to "Adopt" a wildlife center in an affected area to help them secure medicine and other emergency things they need.

All Federal & State Licensed Wildlife Rehabilitors located in the stricken areas and in areas near by that are taking in injured/orphaned/sick wild life will qualify for grants.    I worked as a Wildlife Rehaber for over 30 years and no one payed me.  Most wildlife rehabilitators are not paid at all, we do it from our heart not a wallet.  Now, I know these people are in serious need themselves but I know where their "Heart" is and if STW can help them help our countries wildlife then we are all going to be winners in saving what we can of what we have left out west.

I feel I have the best People for this job living in my area with the University of Florida Veterinary School, I am sure I can find students/Professors who would be interested in this for a class project, etc.  What we will be able to Achieve for our Wildlife will be dependent on the generosity of the American People to help Save The Wildlife.

Thank you for reading my "Cause" and if you can't help monetarily, please locate through your States Game & Fish department your local Wildlife rehabilitators and donate supplies.  Towels, sheets. kennels, etc., each rehab center always has a "Wish List" but now their needs have changed so please help your local rehabblers, we have good hearts & need the help of our People to get through this.   You can even volunteer with a local rehabber, there are lots of needs in animal transportation, building, if you have a talent and time and even no talent I guarantee your local wildlife rehabber needs you.

Side note:  Last week it was announced we have lost over 68% of our wildlife since 1970.  In the 1980's I began a  study that also coincided with US Fish & Wildlife
which showed we had lost1/3 of our Migratory Birds.  1/3 is actually millions and millions and millions of birds just gone.   We have to step up & do better so
Mother Nature stops throwing so many disasters at us, but we can adapt, our wildlife can not.
