Love for Lindsay
Donation protected
Lindsay Loomis is a kind, funny, smart, and musically talented mom who is loved by anyone that meets her. She is a 33-year-old nurse that lives in Dickson City, PA with her husband, John, and 5-year-old boy, Johnny. In February of this year, Lindsay began feeling numbness in one half of her body. After a visit to the ER, a stroke was ruled out and a possible diagnosis of MS was given. She was to follow up with her doctor who ordered an MRI with the hopes to diagnose her. The results of her MRI provided a diagnosis but it was a nightmare none of us expected, Lindsay had a mass on her brain.
While waiting on an advanced MRI at University of Penn Hospital, her symptoms have increased to include dizziness, nausea, and the beginning of losing her ability to walk.
The mass appears to be growing out of her brainstem and a biopsy is scheduled for Monday, April 24 at the University of Penn Hospital. During the biopsy, the surgeon is going to try to remove as much of the tumor as they can, but it is in a difficult part of the brain, which controls all major motor functions.
She has been on medical leave for the past few weeks. After surgery, she has a long recovery and road ahead of her, which will likely include radiation to try to shrink the suspected glioma.
We are asking for donations to help ease the financial burdens of her medical deductibles, co-pays, co-insurances, day to day living expenses, and travel expenses while her, John, and Johnny are navigating this very difficult road. Please consider donating to my sister and her family.
