Sienna’s cancer treatment

Hello everyone!

Sienna is a twelve year old golden retriever and my diabetes service dog for 10 years! Always happy and loving, she brought smiles to everyone who got to see or interact with her! Sienna was trained for me by Cares, Inc in Kansas thanks to

wonderful volunteers and puppy raisers. Sienna has traveled extensively and has been to museums, on airplanes, in the fanciest restaurants, she’s even been to Disney world! Always polite and well behaved, she has been a stellar example of how service dogs can act in public and people who met her often left with a better knowledge of disability rights and service dog etiquette than they began their day with!

Sienna was recently diagnosed with Lymphoma. This is an aggressive form of cancer- without treatment she only has about four weeks to live. With treatment we can extend this to possibly a year! Sienna loves people, she loves to play and she loves life! She still acts like a puppy and is so happy to be here, giving her any extra time we can would be a gift both to her and to the world.

Funds from this gofundme would go to vet visits, and possible chemo and surgery to give her a chance at some extra time. All procedures are meant to improve Sienna’s quality of life during this time of her life, so all procedures would be considered with this in mind. Dogs generally do very well on chemo and don’t get sick from it, and Sienna has excellent health otherwise so she is a great candidate for these treatments.
