I was diagnosed last November with Renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer). I have had a rough year. It took a long time to finally see an oncologist, but my care team is amazing at CBCC, and my family has been keeping me strong. Unfortunately, my cancer has spread to my left adrenal gland. So, I'm being sent to UCLA. The one thing you don’t realize is cancer is expensive, even with health insurance all the little things add up food for while we’re out of town hotel rooms, some special vitamins, and different things. I need from the health food store that my doctor recommended that are outrageously expensive a special protein drink they want me to drink because I’m having a hard time with food because my kidney so enlarged and there’s just a lot involved with going back-and-forth to Bakersfield back-and-forth to LA planning on having surgery in LA and be down there for 10 days. I don’t know how we’d even possibly do it without others help I pray that it touches your heart that you will make a donation to try to help us fight and if you can’t afford to I just ask that you pray for my family I appreciate all of you. I’m sorry if it seems like I haven’t been getting back to people. I just spent a week in the hospital and The cancer center has been amazing helping us outwith some of my gas, but we’re also having car problems. The jeep we bought is making a weird noise in the front and has a bunch of electrical problems. We have no AC so if I can raise enough money, I’d feel better about our trip if our car was running better. I tried to get it checked out here locally but they said I need to take it to a cheap dealership which is gonna be expensive we have to pay for hotel rooms. Paul has to take time off, and it can get expensive to Iafford the homeopathic doctor, the herbs and teas that she makes it help me so much of my pain and my nausea and then havinga special diet and supplements that I can't afford. I know our family has been through a lot, and I hate to ask, but sometimes people need help when they are going through a serious illness. Any little bit helps, and I will keep this open throughout my UCLA appointments down south. Thank you and keep our family in prayer.
