Nicholas Moscatiello Memorial Scholarship

Tax deductible
On August 2, 2011 Nick lost the ability ever to walk again as he became paralyzed in a diving accident. On April 19, 2018, Nick passed away due to complications of having a Spinal Cord Injury (SCI).

For those of you who knew Nick, he was the life of the party, the comedian, the singer and always made people feel good.

We want to celebrate Nick's life by providing scholarships to local high school students, supporting individuals with spinal cord injuries and helping to fund research for a cure. This past year, we gave scholarships to two Port Jervis High School seniors, made donations to United to Fight Paralysis, Paralyzed Veterans of America, and the spinal cord injury gym Push to Walk. We also purchased wheelchairs for the underprivileged through the Knights of Columbus. Thanks to Keil Van Horn, we achieved 501 c 3 status.

We will be running a can jam tournament in honor of Nick at the Port Jervis Knights of Columbus on Sep 10 from 1-5. The ticket price is 30 dollars, including chicken BBQ, drinks, and a tee-shirt. There will be music by DJ Rockafuller. This is a rain or shine event.

When donating, please specify whether or not you plan on attending. Please leave the shirt sizes and the number of tickets needed in the comments below if you plan to attend.

If you can not attend and would still like to donate, we greatly appreciate it.

Goal sponsorships are suggested 50 dollars or equivalent merchandise or service.

Although this event can never bring Nick back, it will allow us to keep his memory and his generosity alive.

Thank you to everyone in advance.
