On April 3rd, 2018, Life as they knew it was drastically turned upside down. Michael (HARPO), the rock, glue and driving force of the Haper family was diagnosed with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer with metastasized tumors in the liver, abdomen lining and femur bone.
The diagnosis has lead to 4.5 hours of chemo every other Wednesday with a pump attached for two more days of chemo, shots and more meds for the unforeseeable future. Treatment leaves him fatigued, nauseous and just feeling awful. He gains his energy, appetite, and quick whit back after a few days. Then treatment starts all over again. It's a vicious cycle but test show the cancer is shrinking so he continues hopes of a long future with his family.
Tammi, his wife of 25 years now holds the fort down with Bryce, their 9 year old son. They also have three more adult children and two amazing grandchildren. Michael has an amazing support system and is so thankful for each one of them.
The Harper's have a deep faith and know the Lord is the Great Physician and has amazing plans to use his story for his Glory. The Harper's ask for your continued prayers for a miraculous healing in Michael's life. They are also incredibly thankful for any financial support you can give. Michael is the main source of income for the family and cancer is an ugly and expensive disease that limits his ability to work. Your donations will help with medical bills and living expenses while we continue to fight for recovery.
Despite the huge recent set back, Harpo continues to remain positive for recovery and enjoys spending time with family. He is an unbelievable person and an inspiration to everyone he comes in contact with.
