Laurens Humane Adoption Center

The Laurens County Humane Society is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization run completely by volunteers. After many years of fundraising and hard work, we are excited to announce the construction of the county's first and only no-kill adoption center!! We will be breaking ground in the next 4-6 weeks and our facility will house both dogs and cats.
Some unanticipated expenses at the construction site (e.g. the need to install a pump station to connect to the local sewer line) have put us over budget and we really need your help.
If you are able to contribute to our shelter fund, 100% of your donation will go towards the construction of our facility.

This photo was taken at Laurens County Animal Control last week. They seized 33 dogs from one home and 116 from another. Animal control is a "high-kill" facility operated by the local government and is the only place for lost/stray/abandoned dogs to go in Laurens County (there is nowhere for cats....nowhere). You can see why the Laurens County Humane Society is so desperate to build our no-kill adoption center.
