Hello friends and family!
When I moved from Toronto to California nearly seven years ago I was no longer able to get the brand of dill pickles I had grown up with and loved. I searched for a suitable replacement and was unable to find one, thus sparking my need to try to make one of my own. After some experimentation, I achieved a pickle that friends and family have described as superior to the one back home. I humbly agree. Now my mission is to share them with a wider audience of pickle devourers.
As you may have already learned, I have decided to officially launch a business making these delicious, fermented dill pickles and scorching hot sauces. In order to make these products legitimate and to be able to sell them at farmers markets, businesses and individuals, there are a number of costly requirements. I'm looking for your support and encouragement to take this to the next level and am hoping you will take pride in helping to lift the business off the ground!
Dynamo's Dills is my brand of full sour, naturally fermented, probiotic dill pickles. I will have three varieties - Dynamo's Dills full sours, Dynamo's Dynamite Dills (mildly spicy full sours), and Dynamo's Deadly Dills (very spicy full sours).
Dynamo's Delicacies is my brand of hot sauces and eventually salad dressings. We'll be starting with a delicious and fiery habanero-carrot sauce that goes great on just about anything, called Dynamo's Debilitating Sauce ;)
To get things going, these are some of the expenses I'm faced with on the immediate horizon that I would be eternally grateful for your support in helping to cover:
Commercial refrigerator: $1500
LLC Registration and annual tax, Processed Food Registration, Long Beach Business License, DBA Registration, Food Manager Certification and course, Food Handler Certification and course: $2000
Startup equipment and supplies (jars, kitchen utensils/tools, labels) $2000
Commercial Kitchen Deposit: $150
Commercial Kitchen and Cold Storage Rental: $300/month
Not to mention ingredients, business cards, SWAG, website, professional fees and more...this is not a cheap endeavor!
If all goes according to plan, we'll be starting small batches this fall/winter of both Dynamo's Dills and Delicacies, and be up to full steam production for the 2021 season.
As you can see, my goal is not to cover ALL of my expenses, but I could sure use any help that you would be willing to offer. This is a business and I'm planning on turning a profit, and I'm certainly not scared of investing in my vision.
So, if you've ever tasted Dynamo's Dills or hot sauces, you know that the quality is there and you can be confident that new customers will also love these tasty concoctions.
I don't have a formal tiered reward system to recognize and thank supporters, but you know you're getting some pickles and hot sauces, an "I supported Dynamo's Dills" t-shirt and unending honorable mentions and thank yous. As I think of more ways to express my thanks in tangible ways you'll be the first to learn of them!
Again, your support is greatly appreciated!
Sincerely and thankfully yours,
