Dynamite Danika Rose Melissa & Mickys Baby

Hey all- very delicate and complicated story. I can't even begin to write it without tears. I am writing on behalf of my sister Melissa and Micky as you all know. Melissa works for the Clinton Elementary School and wasnon leave to have a new baby bundle of joy! Melissa's due date was Nov 6th but due to some unforseen circumstances she went into labor on her own November 3rd!

Here is what we then proceed to find out.

Born November 3rd, 2022 @ 7:04pm… She is here! Little Miss Danika Rose was born with a heart condition called aortic hypoplasia and VSD… she went into a shock when she was born with the team calling a CODE BLUE. They found a small narrowing in her aorta, which they had to reconstruct to make it bigger, for the blood flow to go through and give her body oxygen… then they were also going to close parsley, a hole in her heart that was discovered through an EKG….AMONGST additional heart murmurs.

Today was her 1st surgery. After 8 hrs of open heart surgery she managed and came out like a champion. With God taking control of all of our worries and desperation the team at Boston Childrens was able to close her chest and fix her valves and make some construction. They had to put her on many machines to be able to stop her lungs and heart ( putting a heart pace on) and monitoring via ultrasounds etc. However the tiny hole found is still present in hopes that it closes as she grows.

Melissa was due back from maternity leave Feb 2023 and Micky was starting a new job next week. They are trying to figure things out as all of this just occurred one day after another. I'm sure many sleepless nights , no eating, missing Vivi, amd emotions rising as every minute happend. Please excuse them while they are backed up in anxiety and have not really responded).

We don't know the next step yet or next outcome but what we do know it will be about 6 to 8 weeks before they are out of the hospital. Their main concern of course is their little family ( vivian-bills-food-and GAS to go back and forth for these long next weeks). They will be their Thanksgiving and Christimas depending on Danika's progress.

I will keep you guys posted as the days and weeks go on. We want to thank you in advance for every cent and dollar donated. Sorry if it was brief and all over the place this is so emotional for all of us.

She's a fighter. She's a miracle. She's a champion and she will bloom like a ROSE!
