Dyna and her fight with Lymphoma

Hi friends, as many of you already know Atticus and I have 2 dogs who we love more than anything. Dyna, 3 years old, our sweet baby girl who is a black lab/pit mix, Atticus rescued her as a pup and I have been blessed to be a part of her life since she was 1 1/2. We also have Bandit, 2 years old, who is our wild boy rescued from the streets of Mexico when he was just a puppy (literally our friend Jeff put him in his backpack on his motorcycle, and rode him across the border home to). Dyna and Bandit have been bonded at the hip ever since, like brother and sister. He takes care of her (even if that means waking her up every morning to play by biting her back legs lol) and she takes care of him, licks his eye boogers, cuddles him when we leave for work and she truly is the watcher of our home.. our protector. We all take care of each other and we are at "home" when we are all together.

Atticus and I do not have human children, but these two dogs ARE our children just the same. We take camping trips together, mini roads trips together, they love having their friends come over to play and especially love the dog park where they can run around and sniff butts. We have made so many future plans that include them on all our adventures.

Unfortunately Dyna was just diagnosed with lymphoma. She is only 3 years old. Atticus and I are absolutely devastated! At first, we processed it.. said, "shes been acting just fine so that means we caught it early!. Let's get her some medication and she will live a long life." Then her follow up appointment came. The real news hit that lymphoma has no cure and the life expectantly without treatment can be as little as months. We were crushed, both just crying in the room with the vet thinking this could not be happening to us, to her, to our family.

With treatment, (CHOP treatment to be exact) it would be 25 weeks of treatment and then into remission. This will not only give her a chance at a longer life with us but also a life where she will not have as much pain than without treatment. Our main concern is her, and her pain. We have done our research, talked to the vet and made the decision to do this.. for Dyna.

The cost is heavy, I work 2 jobs, one full time and one part time. Atticus works a full time job as well. We have some savings but not nearly enough for this unexpected cost. We never sought to ask for help, we understand that everyone has there own financial struggles and we would never want anyone to feel obligated to donate. We appreciate each and every one of you helping to keep Dyna adventuring with us for longer than the 3 years she already has. ❤️

Itemized list for 25 weeks:

* L-asparginase : $474.14
