Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,
We are reaching out to you today to share the story of a brave young woman, Katie, who is currently facing one of the toughest battles of her life: breast cancer. At just 29 years old, she has been diagnosed with this challenging illness, and she needs our help.
Katie plays a role in so many people’s lives as a mother, wife, daughter, friend, and much more. She is a respiratory therapist and spends most of her time at work caring for sick people.
Now it is our turn to take care of her.
Katie is not only fighting for her health, but she is also a devoted mother to her young baby and wife. Unfortunately, she does not have paid time off from work, making it incredibly difficult for her to manage her medical treatments and care for her child simultaneously. The financial burden of medical bills, daily expenses, and the cost of childcare is overwhelming. Her insurance is subpar, to say the least, and we are looking for any resources to help both her and her family navigate this.
Katie will need 5 months of chemotherapy and a large surgery with extensive recovery time. She needs many tests and scans, medications, fertility treatments, and more.
We are asking for your support to help ease this burden. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly towards covering medical expenses, daily living costs, and ensuring that Katie can focus on her recovery without the added stress of financial strain. Your generosity will provide her with the peace of mind she desperately needs during this difficult time.
Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with your network. Together, we can make a difference in Katie’s life and show her that she is not alone in this fight.
We are not only asking for monetary donations and understand that it is not easy for people to give out money.
If anyone knows any resources for childcare, gas cards, financial grants, resources for Katie’s husband, or resources to help cover fertility treatments to preserve embryos, please reach out with the information.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
