Dylan's Wheels for College

Dylan is my 16 year old step-daughter, we've set up this page to help raise funds for her mobility equipment which will help her have an independent experience at College when she starts in September this year.

Dylan was born prematurely at 26 weeks and diagnosed with Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. This means she is unable to stand or walk and as she only has limited use of one hand, she can’t self-propel a wheelchair so has to be pushed by someone. Having turned 16 she wants to go to college in September this year and we want to get her an electric wheelchair, allowing her to have her own mobility to go to college and out with her friends without having to be chaperoned. You can imagine how important this freedom and independence would be for any teenager. Dylan isn’t able to get funding for an electric chair and a portable ramp which cost upwards of £6,000. So we would like to help raise funds to provide this equipment for Dylan and give her more independence.
