Dylan's Dream to Dance

Hi, my name is Dylan Lambert and I am a young man born and raised on the Mid North Coast in NSW. Recently I have been granted the incredible opportunity to study a Bachelor of Arts degree, in professional dance and musical theatre with the prestigious performing arts institution Bird College in England for the duration of 3 years.

It is my aspiration that the training and experience offered by this opportunity, a degree that is unattainable in Australia, will assist me in continuing to chase my goal of being a professional dancer and actor in the performing arts industry.

I started my training and study of dance in 2019 at the age of 14 through both my high school's dance curriculum and my extracurricular dance studio. While it was a struggle at first being a young boy with little experience and skill, it was the training offered by both my school and dance studio in combination with my drive and aspiratio

n to excel in an area I was truly passionate about that allowed me to become the performer I am today.

In my senior years of schooling, I chose to study dance as one of my HSC subjects and despite many adversities, my hard work and effort allowed me to achieve 1st place in the subject of dance within my diocese. However, it was the experience and dedication to my dance in both my academic and extracurricular success that made me realise this was something I wanted to continue to do and possibly make a career out of.

This opportunity is one I have spent hours upon hours working towards and to be accepted into Bird College, an institution that only accepts around 10% of worldwide applicants, is beyond anything I could have ever expected. Unfortunately, as an international student it is an opportunity that I do not have the luxury of putting on HECS and as such have to pay the majority of both my degree and accommodation up front.

It is for all these reasons that I am creating this GoFundMe. To any donations that will help me follow my dreams, I cannot put into words how forever grateful and thankful I would be for all your support.
