Hi, my name is Steven McGonigle and I'm fundraising for my son Dylan's beach wheelchair.

Dylan was diagnosed with Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy when he was six years old. Unfortunately, Dylan's mobility has rapidly declined over the past several months. One of our favorite things to do is go to the beach as we live in Manahawkin New Jersey, just outside of Long Beach Island. Going to the beach as of now is pretty much out of the question as Dylan has grown to the point that piggyback rides are going to send me to a chiropractor. There are services to be transported to the beach but it's nearly impossible to coordinate this during the busy season on the island. I've tried several times and it is a daunting task that makes going to the beach not fun.

This money will help us purchase a Sand Rider beach wheelchair, complete with a cup holder, parking brake, and travel bag. This will make trips to the beach awesome again!
