Dylan Lindsay
My amazing niece Dylan was diagnosed with Brain cancer when she was 6 years old. There is a tumor, Astrocytoma optical Gleoma, the size of a walnut, in the middle of her brain. They did surgery quickly to try and remove the tumor, but where only able to remove a small amount. Making her blind in her right eye and 80% blind in her left. If they would have removed the entire tumor she would have gone completely blind. They also have done radiation treatments. It shrunk the tumor to the size of a pea. However, there is no more that can be done for her. Where the tumor sits it has caused her to gain weight, loose her sight, and also her hormones are acting more like a 16 year old then a 11 year old She is now 11 and loves life to the fullest! Doctors are monitoring her tumor every three months with CT scans and helping her learn how to read brail and walk with a sight stick. She has straight A's in school and loves Giraffes! Her favorite color is purple and her favorite singer is Adam Levine. Im working to raise money for her because she is an amazing kid and deserves everything in life that I can give her. She loves to play school and of course loves to be the teacher. She would love to see the beach. But she wants to see the clear water and the bottom of the ocean. she wants to go snorkling and see all the animals in the waters, like sting rays, brightly colored fish, dolphins, star fish, whales, and all kinds of colorful shells. I would love to be able to put together everything she would need to play school and be a great teacher to her friends. also, to give her that trip to a beautiful white waters beach. She is not liking shopping anymore, and she hates having her pictures done. Her confidence level has gone down and she doesnt think very highly of herself. But, she is an amazing little lady! I would love to help her see that. The bills are growing out of control. Helping my little dylan and my sister get some what out from underneath the pile,i would like to do that. Dylan deserves anything and everything I could ever give her.
