Support Dylans Travel To Fairplay Dance Camp

Yo whats up it's your boy Dylan (aka D-Fizz). I am a performing artist, educator and photographer based in Hamilton, Ontario and I need your help.

I train and teach at Defining Movement Dance, Hamilton’s hotspot for street dance and culture. Annually, DMD competes at Hit The Floor, one of the top commercial choreography and street dance competitions in North America attracting over 6000+ participants yearly.

This dance season I competed at Hit the Floor in Gatinaux, Quebec and had the pleasure and honor of being awarded the highest solo score in the competition, as well as a scholarship to go train at Fairplay Dance Camp in Krakow, Poland.

What Is Fairplay Dance Camp?

Fairplay Dance Camp brings together all of the top choreographers worldwide at the University of Physical Education in Krakow. For a whole week, dancers take part in 86+ dance classes across campus within commercial choreography styles. This year, Fairplay Dance Camp is introducing the “Street Stage,” where dancers can train in a variety of foundational styles and develop their freestyle and battling skills within Popping, Locking, House, Dance Hall, Afro and more. Why Is This Important?

I was awarded the “Supreme” level scholarship which covers camp fees, food, and sleeping accommodations, but I need your help to get to Poland. The opportunity to network and train with some of the best dance artists from across the world will continue to aid in my professional development as dancer, choreographer and educator. I’m setting up this GoFundMe to help in travel expenses as well as upgrade to the Full-Out package, which will give me access to the street stages. As an educator this experience would be invaluable to not only me, but also to all of my students that I train within a variety of studios within the Greater Hamilton Area.
