Dylan Sokochoff’s Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On January 30th, Dylan was in contact with an overhead power line while working on a construction site. He was taken to Regina General Hospital to be stabilized and within a few hours was airlifted to the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton. Dylan has been in the care of the hospitals burn unit since arriving around midnight on Tuesday. He suffered 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree burns on 50% of his body and will be undergoing his first surgery on Monday.
Dylan has been a trooper and continues to show us just how strong he is. He has a long road of recovery ahead of him, but is surrounded by his family, girlfriend, and the incredible burn unit staff. Dylan will be in Edmonton for an extended period of time while he recovers. In this time, Dylan and his family will be faced with various expenses, including travel, hotel costs, loss of wages, and some medical bills. The last thing we want is for the family to be worried about finances in a time like this.
If you are in a financial position to donate, any amount is appreciated.
If you are not able to donate, we ask that you root for Dylan on his healing journey, but that you also root for the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl! If you know Dylan, you know how much he loves his Kansas City Chiefs and that he will be cheering them on from Edmonton!
I have set this Go Fund Me page up with the permission of Dylan and his family. I am the sister of Dylan’s girlfriend, Kamryn and I will ensure all funds go to Dylan and his family. Dylan is extremely thankful for any donations that he receives, and any money that is left once Dylan recovers he would like to donate back to Edmonton’s University of Alberta Burn Unit, as they have made him feel like family and helped make this difficult time easier.
