Dylan Project 2.0

Donation protected
Dear Family and friends,

We are reaching out today with a hopeful heart. As you know Dylan is having a 2nd kidney transplant, and his mother Julie is a match! Since it's now considered an emergent situation, due to the fact Dylan is now in stage 5 renal failure, the surgery has been pushed up to next week. They both will require to be out of work for up to 8 weeks, which will put a significant financial strain on their family. In additional they will need to travel back and forth to the Cleveland Clinic for treatments.

We know that many of you have generously supported Dylan in the past. And we are grateful for your kindness. Unfortunately due to the timing of this unexpected surgery move, we are unable to fundraise as we did for his first transplant. That's why we are turning to you once again to ask for help. The family could use some assistance during this time.

Please consider contributing to support Dyan and Julie. Your donation will help with medical expenses, transportation costs, and other expenses associated with their recovery.

About Dylan,
Dylan is a creative, funny, hardworking, and incredibly strong young man. Dylan was born with multiple medical issues which include Eagle Barrett Syndrome, severe Scoliosis, chronic renal disease and had only one "working" kidney. I use the term "working" lightly, as the kidney functioned for him, but it was never 100%. By the time he was 10 years old he had 30+ surgeries Including multiple rods being placed over several years for his Scoliosis, and his first kidney transplant which was donated by his father Josh. Fast forward 13 years and multiple surgical procedures later including a spinal fusion in 2014. Dylan is in kidney failure and is getting and emergent transplant. This time he will recieve the transplant from his mother Julie.

Dylan was going through infusion treatments, just as maintenance to get him through until the transplant. This past week due to his stage 5 renal failure, dialysis was needed up until the transplant. Dylan is a happy go lucky kid with big dreams. You would never know he had medical issues, as he never let's it show. He always has a smile on his face, even now with the added dialysis.

A little bit about the family-
Josh and Julie met in high school, they have lived in Akron all their lives. They started their family in January of 2000 when Dylan was born. They spent most of the early years back and forth from the hospital. It was always in the back of Josh and Julie's minds that eventually Dylan would need a kidney transplant. His father Josh, gave Dylan a kidney back in 2010 when Dylan was only 10 years old. This cemented a bond between them like no other. Now his mother Julie is giving her kidney, and we all know there is nothing like the bond between a mother and her son.

Dylan has two bright and beautiful sisters, Shianne and Lilly. Both Dylan and Shianne are graduates of North High school with Lilly not far behind, as she is graduating in 2024. Both sister have been by his side during this whole process. The love between them is magical.

This is a very caring, loving, and close family who are always there is someone needs them.

Thank you for your generosity and support. Together we can make a difference in the lives of this wonderful family!
