Hi, my name is John. I’m Dylan’s older cousin, Dylan were'nt just my cousin though he was my cousin, brother and mate!

Yesterday we received one of the most devastating and unexpected phone calls anyone can get. Our Dyl, was found dead alone in his flat at the age of just 23 and our family is completely heartbroken.

We’re all completely heartbroken. Dylan’s passing has come as a huge shock to us and it still doesn’t feel real. He was such a kind, genuine lad and meant so much to everyone who knew him. Always there for everyone and always there for a talk if you needed one.

He’ll be missed more than words can say.

Dylan had already faced more loss in his short life than most people ever should. He lost his Mum when he was just six or seven years old, and then sadly lost his Dad shortly after. He moved in with our Nan and Grandad, but within only a couple of years we lost them too. Despite everything life threw at him, Dylan kept going and smiling.

He later moved in with our Auntie and Uncle, where he began to find some stability again. As he got older, he worked hard, got himself a couple of jobs, and eventually moved out to try and build a life of his own. He was only just starting out, with so much ahead of him, and it’s devastating that he never got the chance.

Dylan was one of the most caring and kind people you could meet. He would help anyone with anything, no questions asked. No matter what he had been through himself, he always had time for others. He deserved so much more from life, and losing him at just 23 years old doesn’t feel real.

We are now trying to raise funds to help cover the cost of his funeral and give him the send-off he truly deserves.
