Dylan was the epitome of a gentle giant. He was caring, soft spoken, smart and incredibly kind. Dylan had a huge love of the water, especially jumping waves in the ocean. He was the first person in the lake at our family cabin each spring and the last one out in the fall. Dylan also loved video games and sports, especially football and basketball, and brought a hard working attitude to the field and the court. But he will be remembered by us as a kid who loved to spend time with his family. Whether it was trips to Missouri, California or many other states, playing board games or card games, going to amusement parks or a movie night, Dylan always brought a smile, sense of wittiness and an adventurous spirit to all that he did. He was loved and will be truly missed by so many.

Visitation 4-8 PM Friday, May 20th at Faith Lutheran Church, Forest Lake. A celebration of Dylan’s life will be held 11 AM Saturday, May 21st at Faith Lutheran, Forest Lake with visitation beginning at 10 AM. The service will be livestreamed here: https://player.cloud.wowza.com/hosted/w1vgpsbr/player.html

MEMORIALS
While Dylan was receiving treatment at M Health Fairview Masonic Children's Hospital, he and his family benefitted from the kindness and generosity of others. Families who had been in their shoes provided Dylan and his family treats and events that brightened their days and nights. This gave Dylan, Jen and Jon something to look forward to as well - this kindness was a blessing on so many levels. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred, and will be used share this same kindness with other families as part of Dylan’s legacy.

If you prefer to make a memorial outside of Go Fund Me online platform, please contact Amanda Engquist DePhillips | [email redacted] to make additional arrangements.
