Dylan Maritato Soccer Scholarship Fund

On June 30th 2019, Dylan was prepared to go on vacation with his sister, Mom and Step-Father.  Tragically, the plane they were on crashed and they did not survive.  Dylan was a proud member of our soccer family, FC USA Texas 05b Black.  Dylan was an inspiration to all the boys around him, as well as the parents. In honor of Dylan's memory, his father and I would like to create a scholarship in Dylan's name.  Dylan loved playing soccer and inspired others on the field to play better. He was a true team player that played with great intensity and skill.  His motivation was infectious and will surely be missed bt our soccer family.  

Dylan was a young man with a huge heart. The scholarship fund was inspired by Dylan himself.  Dylan was offered a scholarship to play with our soccer club.  However, he overheard some of the other kids talking about circumstances in their lives and he knew that they would benefit more from a scholarship.  So, Dylan told his father that he wanted the other kids to get the help instead of him.  This is a testament to what a wonderful young man Dylan was.  

We have registered as a non-profit organization in Dylans honor, in order to keep his kind gesture going.  We are waiting the official approval from the IRS. All donations will be used to set up this organization and will be applied to his charity once it is up and running.  Our hope is that this scholarship will help as many young boys and girls to be able to reach their full potential playing soccer for many years to come.
