5 years ago Dylan Drobot was diagnosed with a thalamic glioma - a brain tumor. With minimal symptoms, the best course of action was to watch and wait - with fingers crossed it might never change. Then this July it changed. Severe headaches, loss of function, 2 brain surgeries and a stay in the hospital later, we discovered that the glioma had become aggressive. So we have progressed through a round of emergency palliative radiation, and high-dose steroids and regained a portion of our coordination and speech back. But only for a short period before they will begin to decline again.
If you can help the Drobot family in Detroit and give a little toward medical expenses during this time, they would be so grateful. Dylan is 18 years old, he has a passion for cooking, and he loves music.
