Dylan in critical care- STRS & Ronald Mcdonalds fundraiser

Hi,
We are the proud parents of 8-year-old Dylan, who has been living with epilepsy since he was 4. Recently, his seizures became much more frequent, and Dylan was admitted to the hospital. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, his epilepsy went into ‘status’—a life-threatening condition that required him to be placed on a ventilator. Dylan was then urgently transported by the South Thames Retrieval Service in their mobile critical care ambulance to King’s Hospital in London, where he is now in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The doctors plan to perform surgery to remove a lesion in his brain that is causing his seizures.
We have been so fortunate to have been offered a room at the Ronald McDonald House Charity just 10 minutes from King’s, which allows us both to stay close to Dylan while he receives care. We want to show our gratitude to the South Thames Retrieval Service and Ronald McDonald House, who support critically ill children and their families during these unimaginably difficult times.
If you are able, we would be deeply grateful for any support to help us fully donate to these two incredible charities. Thank you so much to everyone who has cared for Dylan, especially the Rainbow Ward at QEQM Hospital in Margate, the PICU at King’s, and of course the NHS. Your kindness means the world to our family.
