I’m writing with a heavy heart, struggling to find the right words to express the immense loss of our beloved Dylan. On Friday, while enjoying a night fishing trip, Dylan and two of his friends were on a boat when it capsized, leaving them to scramble for safety. Tragically, Dylan did not survive. A search was immediately launched for him, and as we transitioned from a helicopter search to a dive team, we held onto hope and prayed that his body could be found.

Late Sunday afternoon, a second dive team located Dylan approximately 40 yards from the boat’s tipping point, deep in the water. Our hearts are shattered, and we’re uncertain if our family will ever fully recover from the profound loss of Dylan.

Lisa and our entire family want to express our deepest gratitude for the overwhelming outpouring of love, calls, and texts from everyone who offered assistance and sent their heartfelt condolences. We also want to extend our sincere thanks to the Trinity County dive team (what a challenging job they have) but we are incredibly grateful for their dedication and compassion in helping to find Dylan and bring him home for a proper memorial service.Please help join us in helping Lisa with the costs no parent should ever need to bury their child.

To our sweet Dylan, he was one of a kind. We will do our best to honor him and keep his spirit alive in telling stories and remembering his laugh, his hugs, his kind and caring heart…. The world was a better, brighter place with him in it and there will be a spot in our hearts for him that nobody can ever replace.
