DYC for Dave: Stepping Up to the Plate

The Darien Youth Club is More Than a Club — It's a Family.

For over 19 years, Dave Surdyk has been an integral part of the DYC Team and the DYC Family. From serving as the Volleyball Commissioner, Baseball Director, and dedicated coach for his two sons, to flipping burgers and making popcorn at the DYC picnic or greeting you at the 4th of July parade—Dave has always been there.

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting Dave, you know just how special he is. His kindness, energy, and dedication to the Darien community have made a lasting impact on all of us.

Now, it’s our turn to be there for him.

Recently, life threw Dave and his family a curveball: he is currently facing a battle with cancer. As he bravely fights this challenge, the Darien Youth Club is coming together to support Dave, Trish, Ted, and Tom during this difficult time.

We are asking for your help to raise funds for the Surdyk family — any contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference.
