Hello, everyone. To start, I would like to introduce myself. I am Heather Yancey. The reason for this GoFundMe is to help raise money for the funeral costs of my nephew.

The money donated will go to my sister and brother-in-law to help with immense expenses that they will soon face as they grief the loss of their beloved child. Xander Couch was a two year-old who brought smiles upon the faces of everyone around him. He was cheerful, healthy, and uplifting.

On the 14th of April, 2023, he had a gummy go down the wrong place, which resulted in his unexpected passing. Those around him did everything they could, as did the response effort that was called in. His passing was unexpected, horrifying, and deeply disheartening. My nephew, who was a child, grandchild, little brother, best-friend, was taken from us without any warning. I cannot truly express the heartache our family is feeling through these words. Please provide positive thoughts and prayers toward our family, but specifically his loving parents. This makes the second son they have lost.

Xander loved toy cars and trucks, mario and lightning mcqueen, and most of all, his family. He was the most joyful and meaningful baby ever. We will always remember him, and we will always love him.
