Help Me Help Nepal (Volunteer)

The April and May earthquakes in Nepal have forced the country and its people to face unimaginable degrees of physical, emotional and mental damage.  While exceptional progress has been made by a variety of NGOs, the fact of the matter is that there are thousands of Nepali men, women and children whose destroyed homes serve as constant reminders of loved ones lost, livelihoods put on hold, trauma lived and safety compromised.  

I have been blessed to have had the opportunity to volunteer for the past three months in Nepal doing my best to be a part of the incredible progress made here by fellow volunteers. I'm working with All Hands Volunteers, who have split into 2-3 bases across the country to cover and help as much land as possible. Together we have accomplished 100+ rubble homes, built over 35 homes and shelters, and are starting new projects to build over 50 schools. 

That said, there is still a mind-boggling amount of work to be done to help these people.  I want to do that work.  I want to help Nepal rise again.  I want to continue to hold on to the relationships I have made with the Nepali people and their country and to form new lasting bonds.   With your help I can accomplish this. I hope to be able to reach my goal by the end of the month so that I can continue to volunteer in Nepal for another 5 months.  Help me help Nepal and see your contributions have a direct impact on the lives of the beautifully high-spirited people here who deserve the opportunity to return to the comfort and normalcy that existed in their lives before this heartbreaking disaster.
