Alison's Health and Wellbeing

Although many of you may be aware, some may not be.  Our dear friend, Alison, has been revisited by an unwelcome guest. In medical terms, her cancer has metastasized (Stage 4). In layman’s terms it means that it has returned and she is now faced with keeping it at bay for the rest of her life. I want to share that Alison has struggled immensely to move forward with the suggestions of doing a Go Fund Me. I don't blame her- it's hard to receive help when we are so used to taking care of ourselves. I reminded her that to let others help her is an act of service as it gives us an opportunity to be helpful and feel good about being able to do something. Please know that Alison is hopeful and full of life- she does not want to be considered sick or treated as such. She is just as much alive as she’s ever been, maybe more because she’s not just a trooper, she’s a fighter with a love for life, her friends and most especially her family.  

She has begun a regimen of treatment with her traditional medical oncologist and radiologist, but she is also fortifying her treatment with the help of a doctor of naturopathic medicine that includes a strict regime of supplements. (Cha $ Ching). As with the first time that we did a go fund me the purpose is to help Alison be relieved of the financial burden that comes with her circumstances and needs no explanation. She is still working full-time and doing hair, but the cost of living for her has gone up. Although we are powerless to change things that we cannot, this is an avenue to help for those are able and want to.  These are tough times for many so please do not feel obligated. If you can help relieve at least some of the financial stress it would be greatly appreciated and mean more than we might realize.
