On October 31, 2025, a devastating fire tore through the Legacy on the Bay apartments in Destin, leaving about 70 residents displaced — including my dear friend Phil, who lost everything.

Phil is 68 years old and lives alone. He’s been one of my best golf buddies and the first friend I made playing golf after moving here. We’ve gone on golf trips together, spent countless hours on the course, and he’s truly been a mentor — teaching me so much about golf, patience, and life.

Now, Phil is facing the unimaginable — losing his home, belongings, and memories overnight. The fire destroyed his apartment completely, and he’s starting from scratch with nothing but the clothes on his back.

I’m creating this fundraiser to help Phil rebuild — to cover essentials like clothes, toiletries, food, and a safe place to stay while he gets back on his feet.
