Over the past week, Hurricane Melissa has devastated my family. My childhood home, our longstanding family home spanning generations, was rendered unlivable in a matter of minutes. As a result, my mother, Gillian Bertram, and my sister have been left homeless and without their belongings. I am raising funds to help Gillian Bertram, my mother and the homeowner, rebuild the parts of the house that were destroyed, including the roof, and to replace essential household items so she and my sister can safely continue living in the home they know as home. All funds raised will be delivered directly to Gillian Bertram and used exclusively for home repairs and essential living needs related to the hurricane damage.
