This is Cheri VandenHeuvel and we are fundraising in memory of my brother, David Johnson, who passed away on September 26th at 7:00a in Detroit.

Everyone who knew Dave loved him. You could feel his joy and enthusiasm for all things life had to offer. Dave was a force of nature. Whether it was his beloved Michigan State Spartans, the city of Detroit, film, political science, history or great meals with great company, he was unrestrained in expressing his deep passion for the things that he loved. His lifelong friends and family were always on the front of his mind. He struggled with his health over the final years of his life but his passion and enthusiasm for what he loved was always right on the surface regardless of the challenges he faced.

He will be dearly missed not only bybhis family but also his vast community of friends and colleagues who loved him.

All funds raised will go to covering the costs associated with Dave's funerary costs and all additional funds will go to support our mother, Irma Johnson, in her assisted living care.
