Tuesday's Top Surgery Fund

I (Patsy) have created this fundraiser for my partner Tuesday. Tuesday is selfless, hardworking, and an amazing caregiver to our two fur babies. They have been waiting for this surgery for years and we are finally here. We heard recently last minute about their appointment date next month! I know this surgery will help them tremendously towards being comfortable and moving forward towards our dreams.

The surgery is covered in our province of BC but there are lots of expenses that are quickly adding up. We will be traveling to Victoria and staying for 4 days and 3 nights for the surgery and post-op appointments. Ferry tickets there, our flight home and accommodation and transportation while in Victoria has equaled over 900 dollars so far. You may also know of the other necessities such as the purchase of a compression vest, objects for pain relief such as a mastectomy pillow (the cat likes to sleep on their chest), and other special medical supplies required for the healing process. I have been off work since January because of two hand surgeries leaving Tuesday as the primary breadwinner. Tuesday will be taking a few weeks off work to heal as well and I would love them to be able to rest without the added stress of our finances.

A few words from Tuesday :) -

I have recently come to terms with my body dysphoria and have made the leap to the list for surgery. I have thought about whether this is right for me. Through the process of making the phone calls, doctors appointments, travel arrangements, surgeon selection, and approval processes. With all these experiences along the path, I know one thing for sure: This change means everything to me. I get so overwhelmed with happiness, it kind of hurts (in a good way), and I could cry!

As a non-binary person, with this surgery booked, I feel like I am approaching a form of freedom. I am grateful for the sheer privilege of this opportunity of affirming surgery and am so very thankful to everyone for allowing me to ask for help in this format.. sincerely.
