Morgan is in the throes of a harrowing battle as she faces a recent diagnosis of Stage 3 Breast Cancer. Ahead of her lie nine months filled with the daunting trials of chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation therapy.
With three small children under the age of five, including a newborn baby, she's shouldering not only the weight of her illness but also the responsibility of caring for her precious little ones. To complicate matters, she's navigating this treacherous path with self-pay medical coverage, knowing all too well the impending financial strain.
In the coming weeks, a port/stint will be installed, and the grueling rounds of chemotherapy will commence. The months ahead promise to be an unrelenting struggle. However, Morgan clings to a glimmer of hope, drawing strength from her faith and the verse from Isaiah that reminds her, "Provides for those who grieve, bestows on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair." This scripture serves as a beacon of light in her darkest hours.
Morgan, who is currently grappling with her Stage 3 Breast Cancer diagnosis, carries not only the weight of her own illness but also the heavy burden of recent family history. In late 2019 through the early part of 2020, she watched her older sister battle breast cancer, a battle that hit close to home. It was a year filled with anxiety, hospital visits, and emotional turmoil as her family rallied around her sister.
Tragically, the cruelty of cancer didn't stop there. In June of 2023, just before Morgan's own diagnosis, she faced the devastating loss of her mother to cancer, days after the birth of her third child. The pain of witnessing her loved ones suffer and, ultimately, succumb to this ruthless disease remains fresh in her heart.
Now, as Morgan confronts her own battle with cancer, the echoes of her sister's struggle and the recent loss of her mother loom large. These experiences have deepened her understanding of the challenges that lie ahead. They have also strengthened her resolve to fight with everything she has, not only for herself but in honor of her sister and mother's memory.
With her children as her motivation and her faith as her anchor, Morgan embarks on this arduous journey, surrounded by the love and support of those who have witnessed her family's pain. Her story, unfolding in the present tense, is a poignant testament to the indomitable human spirit, the enduring power of love, and the resilience to confront the darkest of trials.
Each day, as she faces the ordeal of treatments and the emotional rollercoaster of her journey, Morgan's unwavering faith and the love that surrounds her sustain her. Her story, unfolding in the present tense, is a poignant reminder of the resilience of the human spirit and the transformative power of love, even in the midst of life's most challenging trials.
As you know Cancer treatment is not an easy burden to bare. Any donations received will go to Morgan and Justin to help cover medical costs associated with her treatment.
